Group Therapy Supported by IFS Technique

Sometimes we feel powerful emotions, and yet don’t know exactly what is triggering them, or where they are coming from. In group therapy we focus on combining DBT skills with self-awareness, creating empowering self-energy that can help you to understand your emotions and ultimately find greater balance, wholeness, and self-acceptance.

In these DBT-based groups, I work with you to help you learn somatic skills to manage feelings that are big, along with more traditional DBT skills. These groups will be both body-focused and experiential.

Upcoming Groups:

Finding Your Wise Mind: Cultivating Self Energy- A DBT Based Teletherapy Group:

Group members will learn and practice real life concrete strategies (based on Dialectical Behavioral Therapy-DBT) for working with difficult emotions, improving relationships, and reducing impulsive behaviors. Additionally, members will practice connecting to their self-energy to cultivate genuine self-esteem and self-worth.

The group will meet for 75 minutes weekly. Participants are asked to be simultaneously working with an individual therapist. Group fees are $50 per session. Detailed invoice will be provided for out of network Insurance reimbursement. All groups will be held online.

Groups will be held Thursday evenings 5:00pm-6:15pm

IFS support Groups: All parts Welcome!

In small comfortable groups of 4-5 participants you will have the opportunity to practice cultivating compassionate relationships with yourself and others. The group is meant to supplement individual IFS work and to facilitate the art of speaking for our parts and communicating authentically towards others. Please contact David if you are interested in joining the next available group.
